Pablo Fornals - signed
West Ham United is delighted to announce the signing of highly sought-after Spain international attacking midfielder Pablo Fornals.

A creative, technically-gifted playmaker with an eye for goal, Fornals joins the Hammers from Villarreal, for whom he has excelled in both La Liga and the UEFA Europa League.

Fornals, who becomes the second most-expensive signing in the Club’s history behind Felipe Anderson, has signed a five-year contract, with an option of a further year, after undergoing a successful medical at Spire London East Hospital.

Just 23, the Castellon-born player has already made more than 150 senior appearances and will join up with Manuel Pellegrini’s squad after representing his country at this summer’s UEFA European U21 Championship finals.

I was pleased for him when he scored . Benny would have put that in row Z. Rice is probably going so hopefully a place for Jimmy in the starting line up

I’m genuinely baffled by those who don’t rate Pablo. What is it, don’t you get he’s a proper no.10 best played in a midfield four?

Re: Pablo Fornals - signed
I used to get frustrated with Fornals but I think we miss him out of the team.

He’s better at keeping the ball than say Benrahma/Bowen and definitely Soucek.

I’m sure most would have him in the team ahead of Soucek.

If he was over 6ft Moyes would not think twice about his inclusion.

He's not had the best season but I can't help but love Fornals, his passion for the club is special, so pleased for him last night as he's clearly gutted at being out the team so to come on and score a beautifully taken goal shows his character. Hoping he plays a part in the final.

He has not been the same player since his kid was born last Christmas. Awful since.

Gents, regardless of where he's playing and what he's being asked to do, the basic football fundamentals should be there. Passing the football to a teammate would be a start.

He's not being asked to play in goal. He was absolutely fucking atrocious last night, I'd rather have had someone taken out of the stands and stuck in the team.

Mike, simple solution, get a fucking better left back !

We are in effect playing with 10 men to protect Cresswell

Insane tactics

HE IS NOT A FUCKING WINGER, IT IS AS SIMPLE AS THAT.

PUT HIM IN THE MIDDLE IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE HIM.

Re: Pablo Fornals - signed
eerie, I'm not disagreeing with the state but you have to understand that moyes is not asking to do anything but provide cover for/babysit cresswell. It's not fair on the player, but he continues to do it without a fuss. I don't think any of them enjoy playing this type of football

Re: Pablo Fornals - signed
It wont happen of course but i would love Moyes to explain to us what makes him think Fornals merits a start in the team so often. I dont like getting on our players backs but fuck me,Fornals has had long enough to show his worth and it just isnt happening. He seems a likeable enough bloke but that dosnt cut it,I'd rather have a cunt of a player who was turning in 7/10 performances on a regular basis.

Just heard a stat from last night.

Tackles - 0
Interceptions - 0
Blocks - 0
Clearences - 0

That is to go with the fact he produced one of the worst 'attacking' displays I've ever seen.

You have to laugh.

Re: Pablo Fornals - signed
He lacks pace and isn't a left winger. A player playing wide left with no pace and debatable cross is going to be ineffective. I really don't get why this is persisted with other than Moyes thinking that we won't attack down the flanks.

There is no doubting that Fornals has vision and there have been numerous times a clever ball has set us away or led to a goal. It doesn't always come off but I like that he is trying something different and not just passing backwards and sideways.

If we were dominating possession then this guy is really useful. When we don't have the ball all game then he is just a body chasing shadows slowly.

It's fine to keep calling out players as being 'shit'. Yes their form goes up and down but it should be fairly obvious from the fact we keep adding good players that go backwards that something is wrong with how they are used.

Fornals has a lot of heart and at least you can see his effort even if the result is poor. He isn't getting us out of a relegation fight or in a struggling team that doesn't use or pass the ball.
We are currently playing back to basics hoofball.

Regardless of the stick I'll get, I know my footballers when I see enough of them. It was obvious when I called him out ages ago that this lad is a headless chicken with limited footballing ability. Game as they come, but aside from the odd game in a blue moon, a terrible football player.

I find it truly staggering how so many have been blinded to his actual ability because he said he loves the club.

This bloke must have pics of Moyes with a 12 year old girl or something
He is by far and away the worst player at the club and must be the worst Spanish professional footballer at passing the ball that has ever lived
Every week he’s the worst player on the pitch it’s absolutely baffling. Yes benrahama is hit and miss but he creates chances in virtually every single game he plays he has pace which stretches teams even if he’s not playing well, this fella has no pace can’t pass not a great tackler half his shots come off his shin he is a truly awful awful footballer.
Yes he works hard and clearly loves the club but if you put me out there I’d do that not sure anybody would fancy going 200 miles and spending £200+ to watch me

An abysmal footballer. He literally can't pass to a teammate.

That was my favourite response, colly son.

The only thing Barcelona would employ him to do is clean the showers.

I don’t know the stats but I bet Fornals and Soucek are in the team because of the distances they run.

Definitely not their football abilities

Benrahma is a better player than Fornals. I can’t stand the cunt, it drives me insane the weird cult following he seems to have.
